5 years agoOakland Athletics catcher Chris Herrmann (knee) was able to do some running drills on Monday, as he continues to make progress in his recovery from a knee injury. Herrmann has also resumed taking batting practice, too. Josh Phegley has seized the No. 1 catcher job in Oakland while putting up All-Star caliber numbers, and beat writer Susan Slusser feels the organization is pleased with Nick Hundley. It's hard to see the team keeping three catchers on the active roster, so it's uncertain where Herrmann will fit in once he is healthy.--Daniel Dobish
