5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Matt Strahm struck out a career-high 10 batters in a loss Monday to the New York Yankees. Strahm’s only slip-ups were two homers in the second inning that ultimately doomed him. He lasted six frames total surrendering three earned runs via four hits and three walks. The 27-year-old southpaw sits with an impressive 3.21 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 8.2 K/9. His 4.6 strikeout-to-walk ratio is good for 20th-best in baseball. Strahm has earned a lock in the Friars rotation and he deserves fantasy consideration in most formats. He’ll have an attractive matchup against the Miami Marlins scheduled on Sunday.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
