5 years agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 11-3 road loss against the Miami Marlins. He cracked a solo homer off of pitcher Trevor Richards in the first inning, giving his team a brief 1-0 lead. It was short-lived, however, as the Marlins had a rare avalanche of offense in an 11-3 victory. After a slow start to the season, Panik has picked up the pace in May with a .298 (25-for-84) average, seven doubles and two homers with 10 RBI, 12 walks and just 10 strikeouts across 21 games. He is back as a must-start in NL-only fantasy leagues and some deeper mixed play.--Daniel Dobish
