5 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria was hitless in four at-bats in Tuesday's 11-3 road loss against the Miami Marlins as his tailspin continues. Since his two-hit game on May 7 in Colorado the third baseman has collected just nine hits across the past 49 at-bats (.184) to drop his average from .235 to .220, and he has managed just four doubles, one homer and eight RBI with 13 strikeouts across the past 16 outings. Overall he has 17 extra-base hits and six homers with 19 RBI, so he is still worth keeping around in NL-only fantasy formats, but he should be avoided in mixed play until he starts picking up the pace a little bit.--Daniel Dobish
