5 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Trevor Gott (forearm) is on the 10-day injured list due to a strained forearm. Beat writer Andrew Baggarly suggests the IL assignment is more of a load management thing and Gott is going well. The reliever is expected to be activated when he is eligible. Gott has been one of the more consistent relief pitchers for the Giants, posting a 2-0 record, 3.00 ERA and 0.83 WHIP across 24 innings over 21 relief appearances while striking out 25 batters. The 26-year-old is a decent fantasy option for deeper NL-only leagues using true middle relievers.--Daniel Dobish
