5 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Frankie Montas allowed four earned runs, four hits and five walks with five strikeouts over four innings in a no-decision against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. He threw just 56 of his 96 pitches for strikes, struggling with his location all evening. Montas also uncorked a wild catch and issued an intentional walk while managing first-pitch strikes to just 11 of the 21 batters he faced. He'll look to rebound Tuesday in a rematch on the road against the Angels, kicking off a two-start week.--Daniel Dobish
