5 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea (shoulder) threw two sessions of 20 pitches on Wednesday, taking a break in between to simulate game action. "He threw all of his pitches, increased the intensity toward the end so he felt really good about it," manager Bob Melvin said. "No timetable for him yet. We're not even looking at sending him out at this point. He's probably going to throw multiple sessions like this. But I think throwing all his pitches and sitting down, and getting back up again, everybody is pretty encouraged by what they saw." There is no timetable, but expect Manaea to make progress toward a return at or around the All-Star break.--Daniel Dobish
