Tyler Beede Pitches Well In No-Decision
5 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Tyler Beede allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks (one intentional) with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision Thursday afternoon against the Miami Marlins. He threw 60 of his 94 pitches for strikes, including 15 first-pitch strikes to the 24 batters he faced. He also collected his first major league hit. It wasn't all great, as he uncorked two wild pitches, but it was day and night from his earlier appearances, when he posted a 13.50 ERA across 6 2/3 innings with 10 earned runs, 14 hits and eight walks allowed in two relief appearances and a start. We need to see a little more success from Beede before suggesting him as a fantasy option.
