5 years agoSan Diego Padres second baseman Ian Kinsler went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Friday against the Miami Marlins. The dinger was the veteran’s seventh of the season to go along with 31 runs-plus-RBI. Since creating controversy on May 16 by cursing out the Friars home crowd, Kinsler has lifted his OPS from .574 to .622 with four extra-base hits (two homers) over that stretch. Unfortunately, he still grades as one of the worst players in baseball so far in 2019. Without a sustainable surge in production, Kinsler may be the odd man in San Diego once shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (hamstring) returns and isn’t fantasy-relevant.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
