5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Matt Strahm survived just 4 1/3 innings in Sunday’s loss to the Miami Marlins. In a chalk matchup, Strahm faceplanted, allowing seven earned runs on seven hits (two homers) while striking out five. Sunday’s outing marked the worst for the 27-year-old southpaw since his first start on April 1. His ERA sits at 4.03 along with a 1.16 WHIP and 8.4 K/9 through 60 1/3 frames this season. Despite the disappointing showing, Strahm has still been mostly solid this season, supported by a strong 5.1 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He’ll try to regroup on Friday at home against the Washington Nationals.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
