5 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer homered and collected four RBI in Wednesday’s win against the Baltimore Orioles. Hosmer added two singles to his 12th long ball of the season and continues his steady campaign, slashing .287/.342/.450 with 100 runs-plus-RBI. Although he isn’t a prototypical first baseman, the 29-year-old veteran is on pace to test his career highs in runs (98) and RBI (104). After a rough debut with the Padres in 2018, Hosmer has cut down on strikeouts and raised his hard-hit rates to career norms. With his playing time unquestioned, fantasy owners looking for run production in deeper formats should consider deploying Hosmer if they source the power elsewhere.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
