Pedro Severino Hits Solo Home Run Wednesday
5 years agoBaltimore Orioles catcher Pedro Severino went 2-for-4 with a single and a solo home run in Wednesday's 10-5 loss to the Padres. Severino just managed to clear the left-field wall off of Matt Strahm in the sixth inning for his ninth long ball of the season. The backstop has been productive offensively, posting a .278/.348/.494 slash line with 23 RBI in 179 plate appearances. Given the scarcity of value at the position, he is definitely worth a look in two-catcher leagues and could be useful in deep single-catcher leagues at this time.
