Dinelson Lamet Fans Seven In 2019 Debut
5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Dinelson Lamet allowed three earned runs in five innings in Thursday’s loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Making his first start since 2017 after recovering from Tommy John Surgery, Lamet fired 80 pitches and fanned seven. He yielded three hits and two walks. The 26-year-old fireballer nearly touched 99 MPH and despite the loss, the outing should be considered a success. Once considered a potential ace before the injury, Lamet’s return will provide a much-needed boost to the Friars pitching staff. With an 11.0 K/9 in 119 1/3 career innings, there’s certainly some fantasy appeal.
