Dinelson Lamet Makes Home Debut Friday
5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Dinelson Lamet will make his 2019 home debut Friday against the Atlanta Braves. Lamet, who returned on July 4 from Tommy John surgery will face another stiff test. The Braves lead the NL in runs (491) and are second in wOBA (.336). Lamet nearly touched 99 MPH in his first start and will likely be limited to 85-90 pitches but is at risk of a quick hook if he struggles. The 26-year-old fireballer holds tremendous upside with a 29 percent career strikeout rate but is likely avoidable on Friday night. He’s still a solid bench stash in standard leagues and possesses promising dynasty value.
