Fernando Tatis Jr. Records First Career Four-Hit Effort
5 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. went 4-for-5 in Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Braves. Coming out of the break, the 20-year-old picked up where he left off, collecting seven singles and a steal over the three-game series. He’s now slashing .339/.406/.615 on the year with 14 homers, 14 steals and 80 runs-plus-RBI in 249 plate appearances. With a .425 BABIP, the advanced stats continue to suggest a material downturn in production but Tatis has become one of the most exciting players in baseball. Fantasy owners should sell high at their own risk.
