Tyrell Williams Stepping Up At Raiders Camp
5 years agoOakland Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams is getting praises from head coach Jon Gruden for the plays he’s making at camp. He stated that Williams “has made some big plays at multiple positions, and has showed great stamina.” This comes after Williams indicated that he wants to prove he’s a more versatile receiver and not solely a deep threat in the passing game. The 27-year-old hauled in five touchdowns a season ago with 41 catches and 653 yards in a so-so year with the Chargers. Williams’ boom or bust profile could change with the Raiders if he does in fact get a different type of usage as the team’s WR2, but for now, he’s a high ceiling player to take a flier on in the late rounds of the draft.
