5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Garrett Richards (elbow, shoulder) exited his High-A rehab start on Monday with shoulder tightness. Richards, recovering from Tommy John surgery, had struck out five in 2 2/3 scoreless innings before being yanked prematurely. It was his fourth rehab appearance. The hope is the setback is precautionary, but it is cause for concern considering Richards’ injury history. The 31-year-old was expecting activation in late-August and would’ve been a boost for the Padres. Fantasy owners hoping for a late-season resurgence may have to wait longer.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
