5 years agoThe Oakland Raiders have placed running back Doug Martin on IR Sunday and will move forward with Deandre Washington and Jalen Richard as backups to Josh Jacobs. Martin had just two carries in preseason game action while Washington made a strong case for himself shining in the team's first two exhibition games and will be the primary backup. The exact nature of why Martin was placed on the IR is unknown, but the team should pass along an update later today. Jacobs will get a slight fantasy boost as Martin was thought of to get goal-line work, but it appears that will now fall on the shoulders of the first-round rookie.
