Daniel Carlson Hits Three Field Goals To Cap Strong Preseason
5 years agoOakland Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson made good on three of his four field goal attempts in Thursday's preseason finale against the Seahawks. He hit a 43-yarder to cap the team's opening drive, but nailed the upright in his second attempt of the game from 42 yards out. The game was played under rainfall, so field conditions weren't ideal, but he did make his remaining two kicks finishing the preseason 7-for-8 in FG attempts. Carlson isn't an upper-echelon kicker to target in drafts but could be a sneaky option on this improving offense. He hit a team-record 94% of his kicks in ten games with the Silver and Black last year, and would be a valuable source for points in 2019 if he keeps a similar succession rate.
