Raheem Mostert Leads Niners In Rushing
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert tallied 40 yards on nine carries in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, adding a catch for zero yards. Mostert was the main beneficiary of Tevin Coleman’s (ankle) injury, leading the backfield in yards. The Niners employ a systematic committee at running back so an extended absence for Coleman would mean regular touches for Mostert. While Matt Breida will retain majority share of touches, Mostert is worth a flier claim. He’ll carry some flex appeal If Coleman can’t go in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
