5 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Manuel Margot is out of Thursday’s series finale against the Chicago Cubs. Margot carried the Friars to victory on Wednesday, collecting three knocks in four at-bats with a homer, two runs and a steal. After being benched earlier this season, Margot has rebounded to post a respectable .246/.318/.411 slash with 12 dingers, converting 20 of 22 stolen base attempts. Demonstrating the tantalizing power/speed potential he flashed in 2017, the 24-year-old is making his case to remain in the Friars long-term plans. With his excellent defense and improved plate discipline, he can certainly be a well-rounded weapon if he finds consistency. With a strong finish, Margot is suddenly back in the mix as a solid asset.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
