George Kittle's Floor Still Safe Despite Sharing Targets
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has yet to break out in 2019 but is still a surefire TE1 in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite just 108 receiving yards and no touchdowns, Kittle still leads all Niners skill players in snaps through two games. The Steelers surrender nearly nine yards per pass attempt and have struggled defending receivers between the hash marks. The key risk for Kittle is the broader distribution of targets among a talented backfield and emerging rookie wideout Deebo Samuel. While last weekend’s blowout limited his opportunities, Kittle still managed 54 yards on just three looks. In a contest that should be closer, Kittle has one of the safest floors at his position.
