5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida enters Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers on a downward trend. While he missed some time in Week 7 undergoing concussion protocol, Breida has yielded the backfield to Tevin Coleman since the latter’s return from injury. Averaging just 33 percent of snaps over the past three weeks, every opportunity counts for Breida to return RB3 value against Carolina. Fortunately, the Panthers tout one of the league’s weaker rush defenses and the Niners run-heavy scheme provides touches for both Coleman and Breida.
