5 years agoNew York Knicks shooting guard/small forward RJ Barrett had his offensive arsenal on display during Saturday’s defeat to the Boston Celtics, compiling 26 points to lead the team. Barrett shot 9-for-20 overall, but knocked down 4-for-6 from three, in addition to snatching seven rebounds and adding three assists. Barrett has not only proved adept at scoring early and often in his NBA career, but that he is the rare player who appears immune to the wildly fluctuating rotations employed by head coach David Fizdale. The Knicks are likely to throw as much at Barrett as he can handle during his rookie campaign, giving him high upside as the season develops. He next faces a porous Bulls defensive unit Monday.--Jesse Borek
