Deebo Samuel Could Get More Rushing Opportunities
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel draws a favorable matchup against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9 and is an upside WR5. The second-round rookie has endured a frustrating season, breaching five-plus targets just twice. Samuel scored his second touchdown last week, taking a 20-yard carry to the house. Despite just eight rush yards prior to Week 8, Samuel is a perceived big-play dual threat and could figure more into the running game with backs Matt Breida (ankle) and Raheem Mostert (knee) questionable. Against a weak Cardinals Defense, Samuel could convert his projected 4-6 touches into a big play, making him a boom-or-bust flex option for managers thin with bye weeks.
