Trey Mancini Unlikely To Play In 2020 Due To Chemotherapy
5 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder/first baseman Trey Mancini said Tuesday that he is recovering from Stage 3 colon cancer and is scheduled to receive chemotherapy for the next six months. As such, he stated, "If baseball returns in 2020, it will probably be without me." It is a shame, as the 28-year-old had a great 2019 season, batting .291 with 35 home runs and 97 RBI. Our thoughts go out to Mancini as he begins his recovery during the COVID-19 pandemic. You'll want to avoid Mancini for obvious reasons if your league has yet to draft for the 2020 season.
