4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu threw 76 pitches over five frames during Saturday’s intrasquad game in his final tuneup before his Opening Day start versus the Rays on the 24th. He served up four runs on seven hits, including two home runs, while striking out a pair and walking no one. With the recent announcement of the Jays relocating their home games outside of Toronto, Ryu’s value could get a slight boost pitching outside of the Rogers Centre. The 33-year-old will still have to face the difficult lineups and hitting environments that also occupy the AL East, which will make his 2.32 ERA from a year ago hard to duplicate.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
