4 years agoThe Chicago Cubs have placed starting pitcher Jose Quintana (thumb) on the 10-day injured list after he severed a nerve in his thumb cleaning a wine glass earlier this month. The left-hander is on the road to recovery, but is yet to throw off a mound and will need at least a couple of weeks to build up his arm strength. He should join the Cubs rotation sometime in August, but he isn’t worth stashing in fantasy leagues after seeing his numbers gradually decline over the past three seasons.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
