4 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (oblique) and first baseman Brandon Belt (heel) are progressing well and could return to the club this weekend versus the Rangers. Longoria suffered an oblique strain nearly two weeks ago, while Belt has dealt with a lingering heel issue since the start of summer camp. It's good news for the Giants offense to get back two meat-of-the-order bats, but neither have the fantasy potential that they possessed in year's past. You can do a lot worse than these veterans, however, but don't expect a flurry of counting stats on a below-average offense.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
