4 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI in Sunday's 9-5 loss to the Giants. The HR was Longoria's first of the season. The veteran now owns a .429/.444/.786 slash line with five RBI over 18 plate appearances. Longoria's fantasy value over the past several seasons has come from his ability to accumulate stats over a season's worth of at-bats. The shorter season is a disadvantage to him in this regard, but he may still be able to provide some value if he can continue to hit. Fantasy players should wait to see a bit more from Longoria before buying into him.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
