4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers right-handed pitcher Corbin Burnes has been pulled up into the team’s starting staff after making his last three appearances out of relief. Burnes replaces left-hander Eric Lauer, who was sent to the team’s alternate training site after two rocky starts. With elite spin rates on both his fastball and curveball, Burnes has struck out 36.4% of batters that he has faced thus far in 2020. His bugaboo has been walks, of which he has yielded 11 in his first 16 innings. While he is an appealing season-long own due to his upside, Tuesday figures to be a tough start against a thundering Minnesota offense that mashed 35 home runs in its first 22 contests.--Jesse Borek
