4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means (bereavement) could not get out of the first inning in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Nationals. Means could only get two outs on 34 pitches, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk with no strikeouts. This was Means' first start since August 4 and just his third of the season, as he had been away from the team mourning the loss of his father. As such, it is not that surprising that Means was not on the top of his game. The 27-year-old now owns a 10.57 ERA over three starts and 7 2/3 IP. He will next get an unfavorable matchup against the Red Sox at home and should be sat by fantasy owners if possible.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
