Kristaps Porzingis Hopeful To Avoid Surgery
4 years agoDallas Mavericks center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of the first-round series with the Los Angeles Clippers. At the moment, Porzingis is hopeful to avoid surgery on his torn meniscus in his right knee. He believes with rest and a few injections that he'll be able to heal it naturally. That being said, Porzingis might be able to return later in the postseason, assuming the Mavericks can survive the first round. In the meantime, Maximilian Kleber and Boban Marjanovic will be asked to fill in at center. Luka Doncic (ankle) will be asked to do the heavy lifting without Porzingis available.
