Trevor Cahill Gets Quick Hook Saturday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Trevor Cahill lasted just 2 2/3 innings in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks, despite pitching pretty well. Cahill allowed one run on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts. He had suffered a hip injury in his last start, but there was no visit from the training staff prior to him exiting, per the Athletic's Andrew Baggarly. The veteran has pitched well for the Giants this season, compiling a 2.65 ERA over 17 IP. His next matchup will likely be a tough one at the Padres, but he is worth a look for fantasy managers. Hopefully, he will be able to pitch deeper into the game.
