4 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman/shortstop Anderson Tejeda (arm) was a late scratch from Thursday’s starting nine versus Houston and right-hander Cristian Javier. Tejeda, the club’s No. 7 prospect per MLB Pipeline, is one of the young bats that the Rangers have been getting a look at down the stretch in 2020, as he has produced a .471 SLG in his first 20 games. With the club insisting that they’ll have a younger look come next season, Tejeda figures to be an integral middle-infield cog moving forward. With a skin infection in his arm, Tejeda likely holds little fantasy value over the season’s final days.--Jesse Borek
