4 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold was unable to get much going during the Thursday night loss to the Denver Broncos. Darnold completed 23 of 42 passing attempts for 230 yards without a touchdown or interception. He also rushed six times for 84 yards and one touchdown. It has been an unimpressive start to the season for Darnold, but it isn't all his fault. The supporting cast around him is horrendous, but Darnold hasn't been able to play well at all. Darnold was sacked six times in this one as the offensive line had no answers for the Broncos pass rush. It's not going to get easier for Darnold or the Jets going forward. They have a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals next week. At this point, Darnold belongs on the bench or the waiver wire in almost all formats.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
