BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 22% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The only reason I'm bumping Trey Burton down to a WW target for those in 14+ Team Leagues is because of the competition he faces in Indy. Other than that, he looks shinier than Arab gold. Just this past Sunday, for example, the Colts tight ends logged 39 (Burton), 45 (Jack Doyle), and 32 (Mo Alie-Cox) snaps each. That's so balanced that the upside is always going to be limited.
That being said, though, Burton led all Colts tight ends this past weekend with 10.1 points--although it was Jack Doyle who found paydirt through the air--including a rushing touchdown for the second week in a row.
Burton came back from injury in Week 4, and in the four matches he's played since he's more than doubled Jack Doyle's production (43.9 PPR points to Doyle's 21.9). Both have scored a receiving touchdown each, but Burton out-performs Doyle in targets, receptions, and yards; and also has a couple of rushing scores.
Don't expect Burton to become a weekly touchdown scorer, because basically no tight end is or will be, but consider him an incredible under-the-radar WW target in deeper formats given how Indy is scheming rushing plays for him out of the wildcat formation and his current QB11 average of 12.8 PPR per game.
