Tough To Trust Phil Mickelson At Houston Open
4 years agoPhil Mickelson will make his fourth start of the 2021 season this week, and it is incredibly difficult to rely on him for a good performance. He has not posted a top-40 finish in any of his last five starts and has been struggling in every aspect of his game. His approach shots have been particularly bad, ranking 189th in strokes gained approaching the green and 199th in greens in regulation percentage. Mickelson's putting for birdies has actually been pretty solid, ranking 37th in birdie conversion percentage. However, that seems to be the only silver lining coming into this week. He is simply too inconsistent to be a DFS play at Memorial Park.
