Charles Howell III Has Found Past Success At Sea Island
4 years agoCharles Howell III has just one top-30 finish in four starts this season, but he has found success at Sea Island in the past. He won the RSM Classic in 2019, finished 13th in 2017, and sixth in 2016. Howell has been struggling with his approach shots for the most part, but he does rank 13th in approaches from 50-75 yards. His short game has also been solid, ranking 39th in strokes gained around the green and 54th in scrambling. There will likely be a lot of birdies out there this week, and he will need to convert at a rate that is better than his 27 percent if he wants to contend. He has been mostly average this season, but Howell's past success may give him decent value at a price of just $8,200 this week.
