Chiefs at Buccaneers

More or Less Contest(s)

Recommended Prop Picks:

Patrick Mahomes more than 333.5 passing yards: Patrick Mahomes should be in a solid spot against this Buccaneers Defense as they set up as a significant pass funnel. Against the run, the Bucs have been the best team in the league by only allowing 1,289 total rushing yards. They have, however, ranked 12th worst against the pass on the season by allowing 3,459 passing yards. In the playoffs, the Bucs have allowed an average 314 passing yards per game and allowed Aaron Rodgers to throw for 346 passing yards in the NFC Championship Game. On the season, Mahomes has averaged nearly 316 passing yards per game and has also thrown over 330 passing yards in seven games. One of these games was a massive 462-yard performance against these Bucs in this same stadium during a Week 12 matchup.

Tom Brady more than 303.5 passing yards: This is a tough prop for me, but I think Brady is going to be forced to throw in this one based on the Chiefs' high-powered offense. Brady has averaged nearly 290 passing yards per game on the season while the Chiefs have also allowed seven quarterbacks to throw for over 300 yards on the season. In their Week 12 meeting against these Chiefs, Brady threw for 345 yards on 41 attempts. This game could play out similarly if the Chiefs come out slinging the rock and get ahead of the Bucs, which would then force Brady into more throwing situations. Again, this is a tough prop, but considering the way the game could play out based on the current total sitting at 56 points, the more than seems like the play here.

Tyreek Hill more than 99.5 receiving yards: The Cheetah might be my favorite player in this entire game. He has been outstanding in the playoffs as he has gone for 282 receiving yards on 17 receptions across the Chiefs' two games. The Bucs have struggled a bit against wide receivers as they have allowed 598 receiving yards to wide receivers in the playoffs and have also allowed two wide receivers to go over the 100-yards threshold. In his previous meeting with the Bucs, Hill went for a ridiculous 269 receiving yards and three scores. He should be in line for a solid game again in this one.

Chris Godwin more than 5.5 receptions: Godwin has seen plenty of volume in the playoffs as he has been targeted a total of 28 times in the Bucs' three games. The problem is that he has had some key drops and has therefore failed to go over five receptions in any of these games. I am going to bank on him getting his ass in gear in the biggest game of his life and will able to get to at least six receptions. On the season, Godwin went over 5.5 receptions five times in 12 games and also hauled in five receptions in four other games. He is going to be heavily relied upon again in this one and because of that, I have to lean more than here.

Touchdown Dance Contest

Recommended Prop Picks:

Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Chris Godwin more than 2.5 touchdowns

As mentioned above, this game is expected to have plenty of scoring with a total currently sitting at 56. Each of these players is expected to have a solid game and the three of them could certainly combine for three total scores. Kelce has been a scoring machine this season as he scored a total of 11 touchdowns in the regular season and has also scored three touchdowns in the Chiefs' first two playoffs games, including two scores in the AFC Championship Game. The Bucs have also given up nine touchdowns to the tight end position in 2020, which ranked them tied for seventh-worst in the league.

Tyreek Hill's stats against this same Bucs' squad were mentioned above as he dropped three scores himself against them in Week 12. He also scored a total of 15 receiving touchdowns on the season and has three games with multiple receiving touchdowns. In the playoffs, he has yet to score, but he has been targeted 21 times and hauled in the aforementioned 282 receiving yards. The Bucs also gave up 17 receiving scores to wide receivers on the season.

Chris Godwin could be the focal point of the offense once again this week as the Chiefs will likely look to take Mike Evans away. Godwin has had success this season when it comes to putting up points as he scored seven receiving touchdowns, which ranked him tied for 17th in the league among wide receivers. He has scored once in the playoffs as well and will be facing a Chiefs Defense that has allowed a wide receiver to score in each of their first two playoff games.
