Kike Hernandez Goes Yard Against Rays
4 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Kike Hernandez hit a home run off Rays reliever David Hess in Tuesday's 9-3 blowout win. Hernandez is coming off a lackluster 2020 campaign in which he only managed to slash .230/.270/.410 with five home runs. He should get plenty of playing time in Boston as the starting second baseman and may also see some time in the outfield. He makes for an interesting selection late in drafts due to his multiple-position eligibility, as well as the fact that the second base position is rather shallow heading into 2021.
