4 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, a walk, and four RBI in Sunday's 9-4 win against the Cleveland Indians. Laureano is now 3-for-8 in his first four spring games. He batted fifth in this one and showed his capabilities for run production, but is also a candidate to leadoff in 2021 based on his ability to get on base at a solid clip. Laureano had a down 2020 by slashing .213/.338/.366 with six home runs in 183 at-bats. This came one year removed from a solid 2019 in which he hit .288 with 24 home runs and 13 stolen bases. No matter his spot in the Athletic's lineup come 2021, he should provide solid production in the categories of runs, RBI, stolen bases, and walks.--Kipp Heisterman - RotoBaller
