Keston Hiura Continues Spring Struggles
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers second baseman Keston Hiura went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 9-1 loss to the Oakland Athletics. The 0-for-3 day marked yet another tough day for the highly-touted second baseman as he is now just 1-for-14 with a home run and three RBI across his first six spring games. Hiura had mixed results in 2020 after hitting just .212 but also hitting 13 home runs and driving in 32 runs in 217 at-bats. This was on the heels of a 2019 campaign in which Hiura hit .303/.368/.570, so the batting average could have just been an anomaly in a shortened season. It should also be noted that he was a .317 hitter in the minors, but it will be slightly concerning if he does not get the average heading north this spring. He currently has an ADP of 66, which is about right considering the scarcity of the position paired with his potential output.
