Jose Berrios Sharp In Second Spring Start
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Jose Berrios was sharp in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays as he threw three scoreless innings while striking out four. Berrios has now struck out seven while allowing zero runs across his first five innings of spring ball. Berrios had a subpar 2020 as he posted a 4.00 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and struck out 68 across 63 innings pitched. It was the worst ERA he has posted since making his debut in 2016, and can likely be forgiven considering the circumstances surrounding the 2020 season. The fact that he is pitching lights out to begin the spring is also a great sign for him heading into 2021 and his current ADP of 78 is a solid price point.
