Jason Vosler Vying For Opening Day Roster Spot
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants utility player Jason Vosler continued to impress in Wednesday's 11-8 win over the Rockies, batting 2-for-4 with a single, a double, and an RBI. The 27-year-old, who has never played in the big leagues, currently has a batting average of .333 and an OPS above .900 for the spring . Further, he offers the Giants a lot of defensive flexibility and has played first base, second base, third base, and left field. Vosler's chances of making the team could be even greater if Brandon Belt (mono) is not ready for the beginning of the season. If he continues to hit this well and makes the Giants' roster, he could be an intriguing fantasy option this season.
