4 years agoBaltimore Orioles third baseman Maikel Franco said Tuesday that he will be ready to play with his new team on Opening Day, per MASN's Steve Melewski. Said Franco, "No question, I'm going to be ready. I'm going to be 100 percent for Opening Day.". Franco sat as a free agent until mid-March, so he has some catching up to do compared to his teammates in terms of gearing up for the season. That being said, he crushed a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Rays, just his second game of the spring. Franco could be a surprise fantasy option once again this season if he can continue to get up to speed.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
