4 years agoBaltimore Orioles pitcher Felix Hernandez (elbow) reportedly opted out of his minor league deal on Monday, per Joe Trezza of MLB.com. The 34-year-old had hoped to continue his push towards the Hall of Fame with the O's in 2021, but ended up posting a 7.94 ERA this spring and has been dealing with right elbow soreness since the middle of March. King Felix would become a free agent should the reports be confirmed. It would have been a nice story to see Hernandez continue to pitch in the big leagues, and there may still be hope for him in 2021, but he can now be ignored from a fantasy perspective.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
