4 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Trevor Rosenthal (shoulder) has been placed on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation, according to Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle. Rosenthal had missed time earlier this spring with a groin strain, and now with this injury it is unclear just how long he will be out. With Rosenthal out expect Jake Diekman to get the bulk of save opportunities, and coming off a 2020 campaign where he posted a 0.42 ERA and 36.9 percent strikeout rate in 21 appearances, Diekman is an excellent target for saves off the waiver-wire.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
