4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sixto Sanchez (shoulder) left his simulated game appearance on Wednesday with "slight discomfort" in his throwing shoulder, according to Miami Herald writer Jordan McPherson. Sanchez was optioned to the Marlins' alternate site earlier this week, after posting a 1.13 ERA with three strikeouts in eight innings this spring. It was expected that Sanchez would likely rejoin the team early on in the season, however this incident potentially pushes that timetable back. McPherson adds that the team plans to reevaluate his shoulder and see what the next steps to take will be.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
