Evan Longoria Hits Solo Home Run Thursday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria had a solid first game of the season in Thursday's 7-8 loss to the Mariners, going 2-for-4 with a single, a solo home run, a walk, and two strikeouts. Longoria took Marco Gonzalez deep to the opposite field in the second inning for his first long ball of the season and fifth career Opening Day HR. Longo has always been a steady but uninspiring fantasy option. However, if the Giants offense can continue to manufacture runs like they did Thursday, he may be worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues.
